Do I need to have boating experience in order to be a member?

If you are new to boating or are not proficient in handling the type of boats we have in the fleet - we are committed to making sure you get the training you need. We will also provide you with a study guide that will help prepare you for boating. Also, our experienced team will give you on-the-water instruction to make sure that you are comfortable with boating and navigating in Cayman - plus we are only a phone call away if you did have any questions.

Do I have access to all the boats in the club?

Yes, you have access to our fleet of boats regardless of your chosen plan.

Can I split my membership with someone else?

No. Each member can list 1 individual (family member OR spouse) that will be able to operate the boat on their plan but they must be qualified by LBC and be listed in the membership agreement as an approved operator.

How do I schedule my use of the boats?

Each member is issued a User ID and Password that gives them access to the online booking calendar for their boat or you can contact our office at 943-5252.

How many bookings can I have in the reservation system at one time?

The maximum reservations allowed in the system at any time is three (3) if you are Platinum or two (2) if you are Gold or Silver. As soon as you use a reservation, another one can be added. If all your online reservations are made and you want to inquire about a last minute booking. You can contact MooreMarine 24hours before or on the same day to check availability of the boats.

What expenses are not covered either by the Membership Fees or the monthly membership fee?

Each member is responsible for the cost to replace the fuel that they used, and any damages to the boat up to the $2500 deductable. Members are not required to refuel the boat themselves. LBC will refuel the boat after each use and charge the member's account. If the boat is being delivered, a delivery fee will apply (Approx $75, varies based on location). Other possible charges include a special cleaning fee of $75 for the use of the head or post-fishing trip. Late return charges of $50/hr may be incurred if prior arrangements have not been made.

How far in advance can I book a reservation?

You can make a reservation up to 90, 45 or 30 days in advance, depending on the Membership Plan you have selected.

What happens if I book days in advance and then my plans change and I am unable to use the boat on that date?

We require 48 hours advance notice for cancellations, no penalty.

Where will the boats be located?

The boats are kept at the MooreMarine dockyard and service center in Industrial Park. Depending on where you wish to collect the boat from it will be delivered there in time for your reservation. If you wish to have the boat delivered to you at a private dock, this can be arranged and a fee may be applied.

Where are the boats collected?

The boats can be picked up at the North Sound Barcadere and at the Lobster Pot. If you wish to have the boat collected from another location, include this in your reservation request. Depending on the location, an additional fee may apply.

Do I have to clean the boat up after use?

No, our staff will take care of all cleaning and detailing of the boat for the next member. You are responsible for returning the boat to the dock specified in your reservation and we will take care of the rest!

Do you offer daily boat rentals?

The LBC fleet is exclusively used for the club; however our sister company, Cayman Island Boat Rentals, does offer daily rentals and will provides all LBC members a 15% discount on any Boat or Waverunner.

If I own a boat can I put it in your program and earn revenue?

All of the boats in our fleet are 100% controlled, maintained and repaired by us. We will consider working with privately owned boats that are late models and well cared for. If you are interested, please give us a call and we can elaborate on what we are looking for.

What happens at the end of my 1-Year membership?

You may renew for a 1-year or 3-year membership or discontinue.
